1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address — used for login and account management
Name — optional, used to personalize your experience
Usage data — question counts and timestamps to enforce plan limits

We do not collect payment card details (handled securely by Stripe).

2. How Your Data Is Stored

User accounts are stored in a SQLite database with strict per-user data isolation. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (industry-standard adaptive hashing, work factor 12) — we never store plain-text passwords. The database itself is not encrypted at rest; all sensitive values (passwords) are individually hashed with bcrypt before storage. Chat history is stored on our servers and persisted to disk — conversations survive server restarts and remain accessible across sessions.

3. Documents You Upload

Files uploaded to the Knowledge Base are processed and stored as vector embeddings. Documents are automatically deleted after 24 hours. We do not share uploaded content with third parties.

4. What We Share

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

AI Service Providers: We use industry-leading third-party AI language model providers as sub-processors to generate responses. Your message content is transmitted to these sub-processors solely for the purpose of generating your AI responses, subject to their respective data processing agreements. We do not permit these sub-processors to use your content for training their models. A current list of our sub-processors is available upon written request to support@rainfame.com.
Payment Processing: Stripe, Inc. receives your email address and billing information when you subscribe to a paid plan, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

TrustAI uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your authentication token and preferences locally on your device. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Clear All My Data. To permanently delete your account, click your profile menu in the top right and select "Delete My Account." This immediately removes all your chats, documents, memories, and account data, and cancels any active subscription. For account-related questions, contact support@rainfame.com.

7. Children's Privacy

TrustAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
